These tiny jam tarts are wonderful treats.  It is fun to make them with kids.  It makes 48 tarts.  


2 1/4 cup all purpose flour.
1 cup margarine or salted butter, room temperature.
1/2 cup powdered sugar.
Jam of your choice .


Mix flour, butter and sugar and make a soft, smooth ball of dough.
Roll dough on a well floured board into the thickness of 1/4 inch.
Cut dough with a 2 1/4 inch round cutter with rippled edge.
Gently move the cut out dough disks to a 24 well muffin tin and pressed them down slightly to make small dish shapes.
Spoon 1 tsp of jam to each disk.
Bake at 350 degrees in F for 20 minutes.
