These nut-free Sunbutter granola bars are my number one snack item for my kids.  They have just the right amount of sweetness and are packed with whole grains and healthy oil from sunflower seeds. On a busy morning, my son loves a big piece of the granola bar with a warm glass of milk as a quick breakfast.

Ingredients:

5 cup traditional oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups nut-free at room temperature
1/2 cup olive oil
2 bananas, well mashed.

In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, flax seeds, wheat germ, chocolate chips, and raisins.
In a small bowl, mix oil, and bananas well.
Pour the banana mixture to the dry ingredients and combine thoroughly.
Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Pour the batter onto the pan and press it down firmly and evenly with a large spoon.
Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
Once it is cooled down, cut it with a very sharp knife.
